How it works
Each evening you answer a few one-tap questions about mood, sleep, exercise and anxiety, plus anything else you decide to track. It takes about thirty seconds.
Every answer becomes a colored pixel in your grid for the year. Weather is added automatically. It is looked up on your device, so your location is never sent anywhere.
Once there is enough data, Daynostic runs statistical tests on it and shows the correlations that pass, each labeled with how strong the evidence is.
Features
Logging takes about half a minute a day. Everything below is built on those answers.
Your whole year on one screen, with one colored pixel per day. Things that are hard to notice day to day, like a rough February or consistently better weekends, are obvious at this scale.
Open any day in the calendar to see what you answered, the weather that day and the note you wrote.
Spearman rank correlations, permutation-tested and corrected for multiple comparisons. A correlation has to pass all of that before it is shown as an insight.
Average mood, sleep or any other module per weekday, calculated from months of your own data, so you can check whether Mondays are in fact worse for you.
Trends over time, correlations between modules and long-term patterns, with the numbers behind each of them.
A short note for each day, with a character limit that keeps it to what mattered. Free text cannot go into the statistical tests, but it can be used by the optional AI insights.
Optional. Uses your answers and your diary notes to write observations and suggestions that the statistical engine cannot produce from numbers alone.
Set your own notification schedule for the daily check-in.
Track anything you want, for example caffeine, migraines or hours of deep work. You define the scale and whether higher is better, and the module is included in correlations like any built-in one.
Guest mode keeps everything in your browser. If you create an account later, your history is moved over.
Data from connected apps and services is pulled in automatically, which gives the analysis more to work with.
Your entire history is available in the app and can be exported as CSV or JSON at any time.
Publish your custom modules for other people to find and use.
And more Streaks, module stats, a monthly summary and the rest live inside the app.
The statistics engine
Two things moving together for a few days is usually coincidence. Daynostic applies the same methods used in research to your data, and a candidate insight is shown only after it has passed each of these steps:
If nothing passes, the insights list stays empty.
Sleep quality ↔ next-day mood
strong · ρ = 0.61 · n = 142 days
On days after sleep rated 4 or higher, mood averages 0.8 points higher. Passed permutation testing and FDR correction.
Confidence tiers
Strong
Passed every test with a clear margin, on a large number of days.
Moderate
Passed the tests, but on fewer days or with a weaker effect. More data will sharpen it.
Preliminary
An early result close to the threshold. It is confirmed or dropped as more days come in.
Silence
Nothing passed, so nothing is shown.
Integrations
Weather is already collected automatically. More sources are on the way.
How weather sync works
Your device
location → weather lookup (never transmitted to us)
Syncs
temp 18.4°C · humidity 62% · pressure 1013 hPa
wind 11 km/h · precip 0.2 mm
Privacy
A life tracker stores very personal data. The most sensitive part of it, your location, is only ever used on the device itself.
Weather is fetched on-device from Open-Meteo using your coordinates locally. Only the resulting daily weather numbers (temperature, humidity, pressure, wind, precipitation) ever sync.
Export everything you have logged at any time as CSV or JSON. Deleting your account deletes the data.
Guest mode keeps everything in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server until you create an account.
